Aside from having a level healthy looking lawn, there are many benefits to having your lawn leveled
- Without having your lawn sand leveled, ruts begin to form on the ground from a constant mow pattern. Over time, the wheels from a mower leads to ruts being developed throughout the lawn.
- An uneven lawn leads to "scalping" which is when the mower blades cuts more than 1/3 of the grass blade which causes discoloration after mowing. Also in extreme cases the mower blades can dig down into the dirt due to the bumpy and uneven ground below.
- Lower dips and ruts can hold more water and moisture which can lead to various types of lawn diseases.
- Cutting off too much leaf blade due to scalping from an unlevel bumpy lawn will always leave the tissue fibers of the leaf blade vulnerable and exposed to the many pathogens in our climate that contribute to various lawn diseases.
